What Happens

Your first payroll run will be completely free! And there are no setup fees either. Here what to do:

Please read our requirements, then fill in a simple form about your company and the person who will handle the payroll. Then your payroll will work like this:

  1. We will create a file for you named "Your_Company_Name_Payroll.xls" and email it to you. It will be password protected. We will agree on the password over the phone or by fax (since normal email is readable at various places it touches on the internet).
  2. You save the file and open it. You do not need to know how to use Excel to use Email Payroll Services, but you must have a copy of the program on your computer.
  3. Once you add your employee information to the file we send you, you are ready to do payroll. See the demo and Mid-Year Notes

  4. We you receive you payroll email, all items are marked INFORMATION or ACTION. Merely do the action items as instructed. The system knows all the rules and tells you just what to do.

Once you've started...

  • You will almost certainly want to sign up to allow your tax payments to be made over the internet.

  • You may want to have checks printed or buy MICR stock.

  • You can add new employees at any time and edit the information for existing employees whenever you like. That is, you can make unlimited changes to withholding allowances, addresses, email addresses, and so on without fees or complaints from us. We update your company and employee information with every submission to be sure everything is up to date.

  • The file you receive can be easily moved among any computers you have via email, network copying, or floppies or CD-RWs. (Once you've opened the file, move the associated .dat file as well.)
  • Because the file is password protected, others cannot access the private payroll information it contains.
